THE START OF SOMETHING NEW

Pam Cassick learns that a family member needs his company newsletters hand-labeled and mailed--a task he typically does himself. Taking up the gig, Pam connects with other businesses seeking the same service--and sets up a lettershop in her attic.

1984
1985-1990

THE MAILWORKS NAME IS BORN

To meet her growing demand, Pam invests in labor-saving equipment like a Cheshire machine and inserting machine. Over the next 5 years, Pam and partner Mike Rabbia grow the business into a fully-automated lettershop called The Mailworks.

MOVING UP + MOVING IN

The Mailworks moves into its first building in
Green Island, NY and diversifies, tackling
the first of many political and NPO campaigns. As
the company grows, it moves into increasingly
larger buildings before finding its
80,000 square foot home in Albany, NY.

Pam’s daughter Brianne Baggetta joins
The Mailworks as a sales rep and soon asks:
How can we evolve with customer needs and technology? At the time, companies either
specialized in print or mail— but with affordable
digital printing on the rise, Pam and Brianne decide
to build the company in a new direction: Print and mail.

A FULL SERVICE SOLUTION

As Brianne steps up as President and Pam
stays on as CEO, The Mailworks launches its
new full-service model, offering clients full-color
variable data printing, mailing list
curation, and campaign development.

Brianne Baggetta is appointed CEO of The Mailworks with Tim Dillon as CFO. With an emphasis on giving back through our strong corporate philanthropy programs, The Mailworks has become the go-to print + mail facility of Albany. With our new online store, marketers can easily develop and execute direct mail campaigns with more ease and precision than ever.
